We met up with several people who had adopted from us recently and some who adopted many years ago from Friends for Life. Thank you Phyllis and Mary Lou for representing FFLAH.

Trent Update -- Friday April 26th, 2019
Trent is now 6 weeks old and weighs in at 1 lb and 1.3 ounces. He is still having his bottle but is starting to switch to dry food and Fancy Feast. This little guy has also found out that playing and having fun is what kitten life is all about. He loves the people in his life and receives bunches of attention from everyone in the family. It may be close to time to re-introduce him to his siblings and mother.
2019 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner -- Monday April 8th, 2019
We would like to give a big thanks to our sponsors The Insurance Circle and Mike Coolman for our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. We had a nice turn out of volunteers at our first drop-in luncheon, and the food was definitely yummy. It's always nice to get together with the people who make it happen.
Trent -- Thursday April 4th, 2019
Trent is now 3 weeks old. He had a rough start with Mom (under a year old) having trouble delivering six kittens. A trip to the ER in the middle of the night was needed to save them all. After a few days, Trent's mom separated him from the rest of the litter, and it was clear she was not going to take care of him. His foster mom stepped in to save him by bottle feeding. He has since been doing well, eating every 3 hours, sleeping in his private little apartment, weighing in, and practicing his balancing skills by walking many times a day. He is happy, purrs all the time, loves people, and is happy to be alive. When you are a bottle baby and your mom abandons you, it can be a tough road. But we are optimistic that this little guy will grow up and will be looking for his furever home in about 3 months.
A big thank you as well to all the bottle baby mothers out there. You are a unique and very special group of people.
2019 Spayghetti Dinner -- Tuesday April 2nd, 2019
We would like to thank the Canal Winchester Meijer store for their sponsorship of our spay-ghetti dinner on March 23rd, 2019. The turnout was great, and we received many comments regarding how good the food from Meijer was. We are so appreciative of the support from Meijer. Their support makes it possible to spay/neuter and care for more animals in our community and helps support our mission statement of "no more homeless pets".
February Deal -- Sunday February 10th, 2019
February is the month of love, candy, flowers, and valentines. It is also a great month to add a new furry family member. We have many wonderful and loving kitties who are "Looking for Love" and their furever home this month. Come see us at PetValu on February 16 from 1-4 PM at the Canal Winchester Store at 6334 Gender Road in the Waterloo Crossing Mall. During the month of February we will be reducing our adoption fee to $50. All kitties are spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. What a fantastic way to celebrate the month of love by adopting a rescue kitty.

A huge thanks! -- Saturday December 15th, 2018
We would like to send a huge thank you to Daniel Hiser and Jason Schmitz who are juniors at Canal Winchester High School. For a community service project they collected supplies from our community such as animal beds, food, bedding, toys, collars, leashes, clothing, and paper towels. They also made a cash donation to the group and gave us a gift card for Petsmart that will definitely be put to good use. These young men are absolutely amazing. The foster critters and foster parents thank you from the bottom, top, and middle of our hearts. We also want to send a thank you to Cathy Hood for helping the boys coordinate the supply drive. You must be so proud of these awesome boys.
