Shortstack is a 12 week old Corgi puppy. He is in good health, has lots of energy, loves to play and LOVES to chew. Corgi's are working/herding dogs, so a lazy lifestyle will not be appropriate for him. He needs exercise and mental/emotional stimulation on a daily basis to keep him from getting bored and developing behavioral issues. An active household with considerate children would be perfect for Shortstack. Another must is a home with an understanding of the pack mentality, because Shortstack is not a submissive dog. He must be taught that the humans are his pack leaders, not him.
He is a very vocal dog. He voices his displeasure when corrected, and he does bark, but not to excess. The foster home he is in has 5 other small dogs along with cats, and he has blended into the "pack" nicely. He is also around small farm animals (goats) and does fine with them. We are working on crate training, and potty training.
He is a sweet dog, full of life and energy, an definitely looking for his new FURR-EVER home!
