Polly came to us in August 2011 pregnant and feral.  She was trapped at a local fast food restaurant from a feral colony.  She gave birth to 9 kittens, 2 of which were stillborn.  At approximately 4 weeks of age, Polly and her remaining kittens were transferred to my home for fostering.  Over the next 4 weeks, 5 of the 7 remaining kittens died.  The remaining 2 kittens were successfully adopted in January of 2012, together.

Polly was spayed and had her ear trimmed for release back to the feral colony.  She received her routine vaccinations and her rabies.  For all intents and purposes, Polly's story should have stopped here, but it hasn't.

My husband and I decided to see how Polly would do out in general population with our personal cats.  She was extremely timid, very distrusting - but she NEVER displayed aggressive tendencies.  Over the coming weeks, we noticed that Polly was very interested in the interactions with our family, although she wanted no physical contact.  We began to believe that Polly had once had a family - but had possibly been abandoned .  We decided to ask Friends for Life if Polly could become a permanent foster within the rescue organization - but remain in our home.  And so Polly came to live with us as a permanent member of our family, safe and warm.

With Polly's permanent foster status, she remains the financial responsibility of Friends for Life Animal Haven, which is often financially difficult.  She is available for sponsorship through The Network For Good - whether for a one time donation or for a recurring donation.

Please open your hearts to Miss Polly for a sponsorship!!
