Hi, my name is Maynard. If you look through my pictures and see the second one has me and my friend Pringle in it. My foster mom wanted to share this because I absolutely love the other kitties and spend alot of time rubbing on them and nudging them with my head.
I am the sweetest boy, but I am a bit shy. I'm also a little on the overweight side. Here's why, see my foster mom found me and my sister Scarlet in a parking lot just outside of a drainage ditch. No one knows how long I had been there, but when she pulled in to make a phone call, my sister came up to the car and wanted in. She laughs because she was totally exasperated by finding another kitty while on the way home from the vet's office. Then, here I came also. I couldn't let my sister leave without trying to hitch a ride also.
Anyhow, clearly having food readily available has agreed with me and I'm thrilled that I'm not starving anymore. My sister Scarlet recently got adopted and my foster parents have both been working diligently with me so I will be less scared when I am approached by people. They both think I'm doing really well and I am certainly less scared than I was when I first came home. I spent my first few weeks here hiding behind the toilet in the bathroom. After that, well, I didn't really fit back there anymore.
I am unsure about toys, I have never had any, but occasionally I will swat at a toy if someone else is playing also. My foster mom adores me and is thrilled that I wanted her help back in October 2009, but I need a special home to call my own.
The perfect home for me will be a bit quiet, without too many really loud, scary noises. I would hide alot if I lived in a busy, active household. A quiet, calm one would be just perfect.
Do you have a quiet home you'd like to share with me?
